Executive Assistant (Event Organization of PEU) - HSS (Ref.2018/126/01)

Positions and Qualifications

The applicant should have i) a Bachelor degree or above; (ii) at least 1 year relevant experience in event organization; (iii) good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese; (iv) the ability to work independently, show initiative and take full responsibility for completion of tasks; (v) good organizational, communication and time management skills; (vi) willing to work evenings, weekends and extra hours as and when required.

Duties include (a) assisting Director in activities or events management and organization in Physical Education Unit; (b) acting as point of contact for sports activities or events organized by Physical Education Unit for University and Colleges; (c) acting as secretary to the sports activity committee including arranging the meetings, room booking, stage management coordinating, note-taking, reporting and all related actions; (d) assisting in liaising with various colleges/schools/departments and external parties if necessary; (e) any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Appointments will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially, leading to longer-term appointment or tenure later subject to mutual agreement. Exceptionally, appointment with tenure can be offered forthwith to candidates of proven ability.

The appointee is expected to commence work in the academic year of 2017-18.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

Salary will be competitive, commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK(SZ) and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable to the PRC. The appointee will be based in Shenzhen, China.
